Abubakar Lawal
ABUBAKAR LAWAL, born in 1964, is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing  Yola North/Yola South/Girei Federal
Constituency, Adamawa State, under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).

Abubakar attended Government Secondary School, Yola and obtained a General Certificate of Education (G.C.E), in 1981. In 1987, he obtained an LL.B in Law from Ahmadu Bello Univeristy, Zaria. He studied further and bagged Masters in Business Administration from the University of Maiduguri in 1996. Finally, he also did his Masters in Law in the same university in 2005.

After his education, Abubakar  embarked in legal practice. He became one of his state’s Council members between 1989-1991. Between 1993-2005, he was in the banking sector. SIGMA PENSION LTD  engaged him between 2005 and 2007. He also served MORTAGE PRIMARY BANK from 2007-2010. He founded an ESTATE DEVELOPMENT  Company where he was engaged from 2009-2014.

In 2015, Abubakar was elected into the Federal House of Representatives as a Legislature. At the Federal House, he is a member of the committee on Constituency Outreach.

His Legislative Interests border on mass housing development, banking, judiciary, maritime transport, pension. He targets to achieve the fixing of the 7 million houses deficit problem surfferd by Nigerians and solve the problem of non-payment of pension, and of corruption in judiciary and banking sectors.
