Biography of Akinyele Julius Awodumila

Akinyele Julius Awodumila born 1949, is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the Emure/Gbonyin/Ekiti
East Federal Constituency of Ekiti State, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He attended Egbe-Eba High School, Ikole-Ekiti, where he obtained West African School Certificate in 1988. He studied Chemistry at the University of Ilorin, and got his Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Technology, Akure in the year 2010.

Akinyele Julius Awodumila was elected as the Chairman of Ikole  Local Government Area of Ekiti State, where he acquired managerial experience as an elected local government chairman over 24 communities. He also has managerial experience in youth management and experience in infrastructural development of communities.


In the year 2015, Akinyele was elected into the Federal House of Representatives, where he represents Emure/Gbonyin/Ekiti East Federal Constituency of Ekiti State, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). His legislative interest border on oversight functions as a legislator. He targets to ensure that new bills are made to make life more bearable for the citizenry.
