Biography of Asabe Vilita Bashir

Asabe Vilitas Bashir
ASABE VILITA BASHIR born 1965 is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the Damboa/Gwoza/Chibok
Federal Constituency of Borno State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

She attended Federal Government College, Maiduguri and obtained General Certificate of Education (GCE) in 1984. She obtained Bachelors of Science of Education (B.Sc) from University of Maiduguri in 1988. He further studied Administration and Planning at the University of Maiduguri and obtained M.Ed in 1994. In the year 2002, University of Maiduguri awarded her a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.d).

After her studies, Asabe Vilita Bashir became a lecturer at the University of Maiduguri in 1991, and lectured until 2002. In 2003, she was elected into the  Borno State House of Assembly, and she was there until the year 2005. She then joined Borno State executive council from the year 2005 until 2015.

In the year 2015, Asabe Vilita Bashir was elected into the Federal House of Representatives where she represents Damboa/Gwoza/Chibok Federal Constituency of Borno State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Her legislative interests include to bring up bills to promote access to education generally and for the girl child in particular. She targets to participate actively in the house debate and committee activities.
