Danladi Baido Tijos was born on March 17, 1967 into the family of Pastor Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Baido Tijo in Jalingo. He is an indigene of Taraba State.

He attended Hassan Primary School in Jalingo from 1976 - 1984, and Government Day Secondary School (GDSS) Bambur, from 1982 – 1985, and Government Science Secondary School, Jalingo from 1985 - 1987.
Danladi Baido began his political career in the late 1980’s  around the period he finished his secondary education. One Rev. Jolly Nyame, who ventured into politics after a career as a clergy man became his political mentor.
Reverend Jolly Nyame and Danladi Baido became associated with the activities of the defunct Social Democratic Party(SDP). In 1990, Danladi Baido was appointed Ward Secretary of the SDP in Jalingo local government. This humble political beginning introduced this young man to grassroots politics. Since that time, grassroots politics has been the hallmark of his political successes. When Rev. Jolly Nyame was elected the first civilian governor of Taraba state, he appointed Danladi Baido as his Personal Aide (PA) from 1992 – 1993.
The annulment of the June 12, 1993 elections effectively brought an end to the third republic, and the military coup that overthrew the interim government suspended the constitution and banned all forms of political activities until further notice. During this period, Hon. Baido together with his mentor Rev. Nyame joined the ranks of other great democrats like, Alh. Atiku Abubakar to agitate for the return of democracy to Nigeria. 
In 1998, the military started a transition program and there was a lift on the ban of political activities. As a result, new political parties were formed, and Danladi Baido was one of the early members to register with the PDP. In 1999, general elections were held, and the PDP emerged victorious in Taraba. Rev. Jolly Nyame was once again elected and sworn-in as the state governor. In 2002, he appointed Danladi Baido as the State Chairman, Petroleum Procurement, Monitoring and Distribution Committee, Taraba state. He held this position till 2003 when he was appointed the Honorable Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Taraba state. He served in this capacity until late 2005 when, during a minor cabinet reshuffle, he was duly appointed as the Honorable Commissioner of Finance. He held this position till 2006.
While he was honorable commissioner, Danladi Baido re-sat for his WASSC obtain all his papers, and went on to complete his tertiary education at Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Edo State, where he obtained a degree in Psychology. He duly received his NYSC Exemption Certificate afterwards.
Danladi Baido also held the position of the Zonal Chairman, Badminton Association of Nigeria, North-East Zone and the National Vice President II Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) from 2000 – 2006.
During the buildup to the 2007 general elections, Hon. Danaldi Baido was encouraged and endorsed by his mentor, Rev. Nyame, and the general public to contest for the governorship position. His exceptional leadership qualities and his genuine affection for the people endeared him to many, who enthusiastically supported his governorship aspirations. He contested the PDP primaries in 2007 and won the ticket. He was later substituted with Pharm. Danbaba Suntai who went on to contest the governorship election on the PDP platform, and Danladi Baido was appointed the Campaign Coordinator of Yar’adua/Goodluck & Danbaba/Sani Abubakar in Taraba State.
Danbaba D. Suntai won the 2007 governorship election in Taraba state, and he appointed Danladi Baido as the Chief of Staff, Government House. However, this appointment was short-lived as Danladi Baido effectively put up his resignation and went back to business and Investment.
Hon. Danladi Baido, while doing his businesses, was also monitoring the political atmosphere in Taraba state as part of a strategic plan to re-launch his political career. In 2014, he was appointed the National Secretary of the Jonathan Actualization Movement (JAM). A mega association that was one of the main national spearhead organizations formed to campaign for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. 
In the 2015 elections, Danladi Baido contested for the Federal House of Representative and won to represent Ardo-Kola, Lau & Karim-Lamido Federal Constituency in Taraba state. He won the elections under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
Danladi Baido has received some awards during his career as a public servant, they include; Institute of Chartered Trustees, Nigeria Fellowship Award; Unity Outreach Ministry International Award of Excellence; Media Gate Leadership Development Project, Merit Award; Excellent Public Service Award by National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE); Rootwatch, Natinal Award for Quality Leadership; Chief Student Promoter by National Association of Taraba State Students (NUTASS); National Association of Kutep Students, Peace Activist; Friends of the People of Enugu, by Enugu Progressive Union for Outstanding Contribution; Danladi Baido holds the Traditional Title of Makaman Mbula and he remains a beacon of hope for his constituents as he takes up this new responsibility in the Green Chambers.
He is married to Mrs. Mbantira Chiwar Baido and they are blessed with  four (4) children.

He has as his hobbies reading and playing badminton.
