Jephthah Foingha
JEPHTHAH FOINGHA born 1959, is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the Brass/Nembe Federal
Constituency of Bayelsa State, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He attended Nembe National Crammer School and obtained West African School Certificate in 1976. He studied Political Science in University of Portharcourt and graduated in 1995 with a BSc in political science. Thereafter, he proceeded for his Masters degree in the same university, which he obtained in the year 2003.

Jephthah Foingha was elected into the Bayelsa State House of Assembly in the year 1999, and he held the office as a state legislator until 2003. In the year 2003, he was re-elected and he continued in that office until 2007. During his term of office as a legislator in the Bayelsa state House of Assembly, he became the Deputy Speaker of the state house.


In the year 2015, Jephthah Foingha was elected into the Federal House of Representatives to represent the Brass/Nembe Federal Constituency of Bayelsa State, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). His Legislative Interests includes human resources development-education. He targets to educate the members of his constituency, and to attract infrastructural development to his constituency.
