Hon. Jocelyne Okagua-Apiafi Betty was born on February 19, 1962. She is an indigene of Rivers State. She is a member of the Federal House of Representative representing
Abua-Odual/Ahaoda East.

She had her University Education Federal Constituency at the University of Portharcourt, Rivers State where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. She then proceeded for her Masters from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology.

It is worthy to note that in 2007 elections, she contested for the House of Representative and won. She was re-elected for another term in the 2011 elections.

In the 2015 elections, she again re-contested for the Federal House of Representative under the Platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and Won to represent Abua-Odual/Ahaoda East.

She has as her legislative Interests Economy, women & Vulnerable youths. In line with this, she Targets to ensure demonstration & passing of new bills to improve the lot of vulnerable persons & propose & support bills to improve the economy.
