Kwewum Rimamnde Shawulu

Hon Kwewum Rimamnde Shawulu was born to Evangelist Shawulu Kwewum and Mrs Hanatu Gasuwa Kwewum in 1961 in Lupwe in present day Ussa Local
Government Area of Taraba State in Nigeria. He has been a journalist since he graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria.

He is a member of the Federal House of Representatives representing  Donga/Ussa/Takum/Special Area Federal Constituency of Taraba State.


He attended Central Primary School Ngurije, where he had his primary school certificate in 1978. He then proceeded to Government College Keffi where he had his WASC in 1980. He also attended Government Teaching College, Jada 1983. He then attended the prestigious Ahmadu Belllo University, Zaria where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in international relations.   
 
Prior to becoming a member of the house of representative, he was a board member NDDC. He was also a member interim management committee PPC. 
He was news editor of the Nigeria Standard Newspaper, editor free Nation magazine and associate editor Viva magazine. Kwewum was also editor in chief of the Northern Nigeria in Perspectives (NNIP) and footsteps a christian magazine. He also reported for the African Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Mr. Kwewum who was a special adviser to the Speaker House of Representatives Nigeria (2000-2003) is a prolific writer. He is the author of saveral books including The story of Gambo Sawaba (1990) and Nothing More to Sacrifice (2004). He is also a web developer and Internet Consultant.

He has as his Legislative Interests; Finance, Education, Power and Agriculture.
He therefore targets to ensure good legislation for good governance. He also wants to enshrine a functional and effective legislation.

It is worthy to note that he was the Deputy Speaker, Taraba State House of Assembly from 2005 to 2011. From 20011 to 2012, he was a member, Taraba State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2012.

In the 2015 elections, he contested for the House of Representative to represent Donga/Ussa/Takum/Special Area Federal Constituency of Taraba State. He won the seat under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
