Biography of Yahaya Gora Chado

Hon. Yahaya Gora Chado was born in 1956. He is an indigene of Zamfara State. He is a member of the House of representatives representing Bakura/Maradun Federal Constituency.

He attended Teachers College, Sokoto  where he obtained a Grade II  in 1976. He then proceeded to Teachers College, Kagoro where he also got a Grade II Certificate  in 1979. He later attended the College of Education Kafanchan where he obtained a National Certficate of Education(NCE) in 1983. He thereafter went and obtained Bachelor’s degree in Arts from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and capped it all with a Masters in Public Policy and Administration from Bayero University, Kano in 2006.

His legislative interest bother on Appropriation and Finance. He targets to improve the standard of the lives of his people.

Prior to becoming a member of the House of Representatives, he had served as a Local Government Chairman and also as a Commissioner for Rural Development  and Commissioner  for information in Zamfara State. He was also a special assistant, Career Matters and senior legislative Aide-Political.


In the 2015 electtions, he was elected into the Federal House of Representatives to represent Bakura/Maradun Federal Constituency Under the platform of the All Progressive Congress(APC).
