Hon. Adeyemi  Sunday Adepoju  was born on November 5, 1961.
He was born in a village called Idi-Ata Okolo Eruwa in Ibarapa East local government of Oyo State.  He is an indigene of Oyo State. He is a member of the Federal House of Representative representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal constituency.

He attended Islamic primary school, Ogunleke and Obaseku High school Eruwa. He proceeded to the Polytechnic Ibadan for his National Diploma and Yaba college of Technology for his Higher National Diploma in Accountancy respectively. He equally attended the Federal University of Technology Akure where he obtained Masters in Business Administration ( MBA FINANCE ).

He has worked in various private organisations as an accountant and also with the Federal Government.

In 1999, he was appointed the senior special Assistant to the former Governor of Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Account matters.

In 2003, after the former governor won his second term election he was again re-appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Account Matters.

In 2007, he was call back home to come and represent the good people of Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency which he contested the election under the then Action Congress (AC), but unfortunately did not make it through.

In 2007, he was appointed again as the Senior Special Assistant to the present Governor of Lagos State Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) where he has handled sensitive and special assignment with a track record of excellent.

Due to his great contribution to his community he was encouraged to represent his people at the Federal House of Representative in the 2011 elections and he won under the platform of the the then Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).

Again In the 2015 elections, he re-contested for the Federal House of Representative under the Platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Won to represent Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency.

He has as his Legislative Interests Sponsoring of Bills and Motions and he Targets to be the best house of representative member


It is worthy to note that he has received several awards from his community and in Nigeria including Award from Oduduwa Youth development in recognition of his highly outstanding contribution to Nation building, educational development and youth empowerment, Award of Uncommon Service to his Community and Youth development by the Unity Hall of Resident of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Best performing Honourable of the Year by Eruwa Youth Movement, Award of symbol of legislative excellent by National Association of Niger Delta Student (NDS), 2014 Best performing Honourable in Oyo State by Ajimobi Students Movement (ASM), Best outspoken Honourable by Oyo State Youth development, Award of Excellent Leadership by the Legislative aides forum of the National Assembly, Abuja, The black legend African Ambassador, Award of Uncommon Service to humanity from Ghana.
