Biography of Ajiafe Olowookere

Hon. Ajiafe Olowookere was born in 1963. He is an indigene of Ondo State. He is a member of the Federal House of Representative representing Akure North/South
Federal Constituency.

He attended Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure where he obtained his West Africa School Certificate in 1979. He then had his University Education at the University of Ife  in 1987 and Obafemi Awolowo University in 1995.

Prior to becoming a member of the Federal House of Representative, he was the Supervisory Councilor For Health, Social Service And Women Affairs, Akure Local Government from 1991 to 1993. He was Deputy Majority Leader of the Ondo House of Assembly from 2001 to 2003, Chairman Appropriation Committee- from 2001 to 2003  and Chairman Tenders Committee from 2001 to 2003.

In the 2015 elections, he contested for the Federal House of representative under the Platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Won to represent Akure North/South Federal Constituency.

He has as his Legislative Interests Public Finance, Intergovernmental Relations and Intergovernmental Relations' Promotion and Development. In line with this he Targets To give robust and effective representation to his constituent at the floor of the house and to facilitate infrastructural development to his constituency.
