Biography of Busayo Oluwole Oke

Busayo Oluwole Oke
Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke was born in 1948. He is an indigene of Osun State. He is a
member of the Federal House of Representative representing Obokon/Oriade Federal Constituency.

He attended Ibadan Polytechnic, where he obtained his National Certificate of Education in 1988  in Business Studies. He then proceeded to the University of Abuja where he got a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics in 1999. In 2013, he attended University of London where he obtained a Masters Degree in Tax Law.   

Prior to becoming a member of the Federal House of Representative, he was a School Teacher and a Tax and Financial Consultant.

He contested for a seat in the Federal House of Assembly in 2003 and 2007 elections and won and has been there for two tenures; 2003 to 2007, and 2007 to 2011.

In the 2015 elections, he again re-contested for the Federal House of representative under the Platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Won to represent Obokon/Oriade Federal Constituency.

He has as his Legislative Interests Fiscal and Monetary Policies, Education, Security and Defence Management, Micro Economic Management, Co-operation and integration in West Africa. In line with this he targets to ensure the Promotion of a healthy economy and policy in Nigeria, Provision of adequate security, Education and Health Care for all Nigerians.
