Hon. Gogo Bright Tamuno was born on March 10, 1965. He is an
indigene of Rivers State. He is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the Okrika/Ogu-Bolo Federal constituency of Rivers State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He attended Boys State School, Okrika, Rivers State where he had his early education. He then proceeded to Baptist High School, Portharcourt where he obtained his West Africa School Certificate(WASC) in 1984. He proceeded to the College of Education, Portharcourt where he obtained a National Certificate of Education,(NCE) in 1990. He went further to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Science and Technology, River State in 1997 and a Masters degree Certificate from the University of Port-harcourt in 2007.

Prior to becoming a member of the House of Representative, he was an Education Secretary in River State Universal Basic Education Board.

In the 2011 elections, he contested for a seat in the federal House of Representative and won.

In the 2015 elections, he again re-contested for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives to represent Okrika/Ogu-Bolo federal Constituency and won.

It is worthy to note that he has as his legislative interests Environment, Education and Oil & Gas. In line with this he targets a better representation of his constituency.
