Hon. Kenneth Anayo Chikere was born on April 25, 1955. He is an
indigene of Rivers State. He is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the Port Harcourt 1 Federal constituency of Rivers State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He attended St. Paul's Anglican School, Diobu, Port Harcourt for his early education. He then proceeded to County Grammar School, Ikwerre / Etche, Port Harcourt where he obtained his Senior Secondary Certificate. He then had his University education at the University of Lagos, where he graduated with a degree in Law. He was later called to the Nigerian Bar. He also obtained a degree certificate from the London School of Economics.

Prior to becoming a member of the House of Representative, he practiced as a legal Practitioner in a Private Firm before he was appointed the Honourable Attorney-General, Ministry of Justice, Rivers State.

In the 2015 elections, he again re-contested for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives to represent Port Harcourt 1 federal Constituency and won.

It is worthy to note that he has as his Legislative Interests true federalism and he targets to achieve just that.
