Hon. Pwajok Edward Gyang was born in 1966. He is an indigene
of Plateau State. He is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the Jos South/East Federal constituency of Plateau State.

He attended Government Secondary School, Kuru       where he obtained his General  Certificate of Education(GCE O’Levels) in 1982. He proceeded to the University of Jos where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Law in 1992. He attended the Nigerian Law School, Lagos and was was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1994.

Prior to becoming a member of the Federal House of Representative, he was in Private Legal Practice from 1995 to 2007, a Member of the Judicial Service Commission from 2007 to 2014, a Member of State Tenders Board (Plateau State) from 2007 to 2014, State Legal Adviser of PDP Plateau State from 2005 to 2007, a Member of the International Bar Association from 2008 till date, a Member of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee from 2009 to 2014. He was also the Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice in Plateau State before he contested for the Federal House of Representatives.

In the 2015 elections, he contested for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives to represent Jos South/East federal Constituency and won under the Platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).


It is worthy to note that he has as his Legislative Interests Rules and Procedure, Business, Judiciary, Law, Tender Process/Services, Oil and Gas, Security and Intelligence. In line with this, he targets to Reform Laws, create New Laws to Deepen Federalism and Democracy, Effective Oversight over MDAs, and Achieve International Legislative Best Practices.
