Biography of Olufemi Gbajabiamila
Hon. Olufemi Gbajabiamila, Nigerian Lawyer and Politician was born on June 25 1962. He is an indigene of Lagos State. He is a member of the Federal House of
Representative representing Surulere I Federal Constituency.

He attended Igbobi College in Yaba, Lagos, King William's College on the Isle of Man, United Kingdom,John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, United States, and the University of Lagos in Lagos.

He was elected to the House in 2003, and re-elected in 2007. He represents the Surulere I constituency of Lagos State in the House of Representatives.
Gbajabiamila was the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives in the 7th National Assembly. He was head of the House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating claims by the Asset Management Company of Nigeria, AMCON that 140.9 Billion Naira (about One Billion Dollars), which was owed by Zenon Petroleum and Gas Limited and Forte Oil Plc, has been paid. The call for investigation of the reported payment was made by another lawmaker, Bimbo Daramola who moved the motion that the House set up a panel to verify the claims by AMCON that the Femi Otedola-owned two companies have paid back the money which the government of Nigeria paid for petroleum products reportedly not delivered as agreed upon by the dictates of the government's fuel subsidy scheme. Bimbo Daramola had suspected that the payment, if truly made, was "shrouded in secrecy."

In the 2015 elections, he again re-contested for the Federal House of representatives under the Platform of the All Progressive Congress(APC) and Won to represent Surulere I Federal Constituency. He later emerged as the House’s Majority Leader.

It is worthy to note that he has as his Legislative interests Budget and Constitutional Reform. In line with this he Targets to rebrand the image of the house of Representatives.
