Biography of Umar Buba Jibril
Umar Buba Jibril (born 1960) is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Lokoja/Kogi/kk Federal Constituency of Kogi State under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He attended Government Secondary School Koton-Karfe and obtained West African School Certificate in the year 1979. He later obtained Masters Degree from the University of Jos in 1990.

Umar Buba Jibril worked as Principal Architect, Works & Maintenance Department of FUT, Minna. He also worked with the Federal Ministry of Works & Housing.

In the year 2003, Umar Buba Jibril was elected as a member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, a position he held until 2007. In the year 2015, he contested and won election as a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Lokoja/Kogi/kk Federal Constituency of Kogi State under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He has a general legislative interest, while he targets to provide best service to self and country.

Umar Buba Jibril is the Dama of Lokoja as well as the Madauci Koton-Karfe.
